INTERVIEW WITH SAM HOGER

Question: Hi Sam, how are you doing? What have you been up to?

Answer: I'm pursuing a career in TV and film and it is going really well. I am focusing on building up my brand and making this happen.

Question: Tell us a little bit about yourself and your experience in the Dungal?

Answer: The Dungal has always been a very central event to the Mix Martial Arts and Martial Arts community in Texas and in the world. This competition allows people who have ambitions to compete in higher levels of mixed martial arts to get a more realistic feel of what it is really like to be in the UFC. The reason I say this is because people who are competing are not gunning for stupid points, but rather they're competing to either finish the other person or they are going to a judge’s decision. This is the exact format that is used in Mix Martial Arts and in the UFC it does not get closer to the real event than that.

Question: Will there be anybody representing your team going for the open division for the Dungal Grand Champion?

Answer: I have a group of students who are very interested in competing on a regular basis and I would imagine that they are going to be there looking to try to finish their opponents as quickly as possible so this will be a great thing to say and even more fun to watch. This event brings excitement to the crowd, because people are not just laying there trying to get points. True I intensity to the competitors who are trying to finish their opposition. And professionalism from the event coordinators who are making the event an all star occasion.

Question: Any message/advice for the competitors of Dungal this year?

Answer: My best advice to the competitors of the Dungal is to remember that finishing your opponent should be your only objective. Nobody wants to be forced to submit to the judges decision.
